NBR VB Rubber Oil Seal

Our NBR VB rubber oil seals (V-rings) are axial shaft seals engineered for rotating applications exposed to lubricating oils, grease, dust, and external moisture. The VB profile features a single, spring-free flexible sealing lip that mounts directly onto the rotating shaft and rotates synchronously with it, sealing axially against a perpendicular counterface (such as a bearing housing, cover plate, or washer).

This springless architecture ensures low running friction, preventing excessive heat buildup and power loss during continuous, high-speed rotation.

Low Friction & Reduced Power Loss
• Spring-Free Sealing Lip: Unlike conventional spring-loaded radial oil seals (e.g., TC types), the VB profile relies entirely on the inherent elasticity of the elastomer and a precise interference fit on the shaft.
• Operational Benefit: Generates lower facial contact pressure, minimizing frictional torque, reducing power consumption, and extending shaft service life in continuous rotation systems.

High-Grade NBR Material Composition
We utilize Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (NBR) compounded with tightly controlled polymer ratios to ensure mechanical and chemical durability:
• Fluid Compatibility: Excellent resistance to mineral-based oils, petroleum greases, and standard industrial hydraulic fluids.

Wear Resistance & Hardness Options
NBR naturally provides strong abrasion resistance. To match varying shaft speeds and environmental loads, we supply customized rubber hardness options:
• Standard Hardness: 70 ±5 Shore A (optimized for general industrial utility)
• Alternative Options: 60 Shore A, 75 Shore A, 80 Shore A (custom hardness available upon request)

Effective Contaminant Exclusion
While primarily deployed for grease and oil retention, the flexible conical lip maintains continuous axial pressure against the mating surface to block external dust, fine particles, and moisture ingress, protecting internal bearings from premature contamination and failure.

Shaft Surface Roughness: Ra 0.2 um to 0.8 um.

Shaft Hardness: 45 HRC to 60 HRC recommended for optimal counterface wear life.

Working Pressure: Designed for non-pressure or low-pressure splash-lubricated environments.
