Nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) is a commonly used oil seal material. Its key characteristic is its excellent resistance to liquids such as mineral oil and lubricating oil, making it ideal for most common hydraulic systems and engineering machinery. For equipment not frequently exposed to high temperatures and corrosive liquids, NBR offers a very cost-effective option.
For heavy machinery requiring high-temperature and high-pressure environments, fluororubber (FKM) is undoubtedly a suitable choice. Its high-temperature resistance can easily withstand environments above 150°C, and it also exhibits strong resistance to some special oils, such as liquefied petroleum gas and fuel oil.
Hydrogenated nitrile butadiene rubber is typically used in demanding hydraulic systems with complex operating environments, particularly in oil drilling equipment and heavy machinery, where long-term exposure to high temperatures and chemical media is required.
