First, cleaning is a crucial step in maintaining rubber products. Use a neutral detergent and warm water for wiping; avoid using strong acids or alkalis. For example, car tires can be cleaned with a 1:10 solution of white vinegar to remove the oxide layer. For stubborn stains, gently scrub with a soft-bristled brush, but never use steel wool or other hard objects to scrape.
Second, controlling environmental factors is also important for maintaining rubber products. The optimal storage temperature for rubber products is 10-25℃; excessively high temperatures (above 40℃) will accelerate rubber aging. Relative humidity should be maintained between 50%-70%; both excessively high and low humidity will damage the rubber. An overly dry environment can cause rubber to crack, while excessively high humidity can easily promote mold growth.
