Performance Of Rubber Oil Seals

1. Nitrile rubber: This is one of the most commonly used oil seal materials. It has good resistance to mineral oil, lubricating oil, and fuel oil, and good wear resistance. It is relatively economical and suitable for most general applications.

2. Fluororubber: Known for its satisfactory high-temperature resistance and chemical corrosion resistance, it can withstand higher operating temperatures and has good stability against a variety of harsh chemicals, synthetic lubricants, and fuels. It is often used in equipment with stringent environmental requirements.

3. Acrylic rubber: Its heat and oil resistance are between nitrile rubber and fluororubber. It is particularly suitable for gear oil environments containing extreme pressure additives and maintains good performance at high temperatures.

4. Silicone rubber: It has an extremely wide operating temperature range and excellent ozone and weather resistance. However, its oil resistance, especially tear strength, is generally not as good as other specialty rubbers. It is mostly used in environments with alternating high and low temperatures or specific media.
